in 2009, the same year we opened our own doors on 12th south, what would eventually become American Trench was just an idea.
founders Jacob Hurwitz and David Neil found themselves searching high and low for an American-made trench coat, and came away empty-handed -- so they undertook the task themselves.
after years of research, phone calls, and trips to mills, they launched their first crowd-funding program hoping to raise enough money for a single release of their proprietary trench coat and socks, and after quickly surpassing their goal, the race was on.
in the years since, American Trench has expanded their offering to include everything from athletic shorts and sweatshirts to denim and leather goods.
