for this release, we teamed up with Emil to re-create a piece from the i+w archives — a challenge he took head-on, expanding his assortment of equipment to ensure he could nail each and every minute element that made it so special.

starting by casting a new nickel-plated brass buckle to replicate the original, each belt was then planed and tumbled to achieve the malleability of a piece that's been worn to perfection without sacrificing durability or lifespan.

Emil Erwin

to us, Emil Erwin represents everything we admire about Nashville's community of makers. when we first decided to develop leather accessories close to fifteen years ago, the choice of who to go to was an easy one: Emil's attention to detail, design, and craftsmanship had always impressed us and continues to inspire us all these years later.

not only is Emil someone we have the pleasure of working hand and hand with, but thanks to his close proximity to us here in nashville, he's one of the few partners we get to see face to face, share meals with, and bounce ideas off of time and time again.
