hand-made from start to finish in their El Paso Workshop, each pair is constructed from natural veg-tanned leather. just like a good pair of denim, these will continue to grow in character with daily wear, transforming from a blank slate into something that reflects every step taken in them.

using their iconic Sabah fit, we added a slight heel to give the shoe a more elevated silhouette while remaining true to their original iteration.

fit and sizing

refer to our size guide before ordering, as the El Paso fit is unique.

similar to denim, your Sabahs will break in with wear, stretching and forming to your feet to become uniquely yours.

if you need any help determining your size, please feel free to reach out to us.

care and materials

keep away from water & heat sources - when vegetable tanned leather gets very wet, it tends to stiffen up

periodically condition with Leather Conditioner to keep the leather soft and supple; and to encourage the patina

avoid using chemical cleaners or abrasive brushes, as these may damage the leather.

Sabah

originally founded in 2013, Sabah was the brainchild of its founder Mickey Ashmore, who set up shop in his East Village apartment after returning to New York following a stint living in Istanbul.

in the decade since, Mickey has continued to produce handmade leather slippers in Gaziantep, Turkey, and has also expanded Sabah's operation to include a design studio & workshop located in El Paso, Texas.

the language of handmade craft is a global one, and in his eyes, this workshop combines the ability to invest in Made in America while still honoring their origins of traditional Turkish shoemaking.
