sewn from an unbelievable japanese cotton-poly selvage, this jean that is garment-dyed before being hit with a light rinse to unlock the inherently slubby nature of the fabric -- further emphasizing the subtle variance in shade that the poly thread brings to the mix.

lewis is a high rise that sits above the hips with a relaxed thigh and a straight leg.

How To Measure

first thing's first, grab a pair of your favorite pants that have a similar rise. find a measuring tape and a flat surface to measure on. be sure to lay your pants flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove any slack. compare the measurements to the chart above.

waist

the circumference of the waistband, along the top edge.

hip

the width at the bottom of the J stitch, straight across. double the flat measurement.

Front rise

the length from the bottom of the crotch seam to the top edge of the front waistband.

thigh

starting 1” below the crotch seam, the width of the leg perpendicular to the outer seam. double the flat measurement.

leg opening

the width of the opening at the bottom of the leg. double the flat measurement.

inseam

following the inside-leg seam, the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

before a new jean is released, a member of our team takes the time to wear them day in and day out, in order to see exactly how the pant evolves over time.

this was my first time wearing the lewis fit and i actually became a huge fan -- i like the straightness of the leg and overall fit around the hips and seat. these are a bit of a higher rise as well, so you have some fun options for styling with different tops.

i normally wear a 31, I sized up to a 32 for an oversized fit -- i tend to like my clothes on the looser side, but if i rocked a 31 they would still fit just fine, so i'd say they're true to size.. with wear, i could tell they grew just a little bit, but in a normal way for a cotton denim. post-wash, they shrank back up the way you would expect which is nice.

this wash-color was fun to play around with, especially as we transitioned into spring and i felt the urge to lighten up the wardrobe. from tucked-in tees with an open overshirt, to a striped tee and chucks, or dressing up with a button up and some docs, these pants are very versatile!
