for years, we've been fixated on the concept of a slightly oversized jean. the kind of pant where you have something on that’s just a hair too big... but you don’t care that it's too big -- you cinch it up, and turn it into something else entirely.

to us, frankie is exactly that: a versatile, relaxed jean, that can be anything you want it to be. featuring a high rise, relaxed top block, a wide tapered leg, and a detachable self-belt.

How To Measure

first thing's first, grab a pair of your favorite pants that have a similar rise. find a measuring tape and a flat surface to measure on. be sure to lay your pants flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove any slack. compare the measurements to the chart below.

waist

the circumference of the waistband, along the top edge.

hip

the width at the bottom of the J stitch, straight across. double the flat measurement.

Front rise

the length from the bottom of the crotch seam to the top edge of the front waistband.

thigh

starting 1” below the crotch seam, the width of the leg perpendicular to the outer seam. double the flat measurement.

leg opening

the width of the opening at the bottom of the leg. double the flat measurement.

inseam

following the inside-leg seam, the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

i’m typically between 25 and 26 and went with 26 to lean into the laid back ease of this style.

the versatility of cinching the belt for a slightly higher rise on my waist with a cuff vs. leaving the belt loose and letting the rise hit lower on my waist was super fun to style -- and i love a long rise with a button fly! 

the wash of the frankie makes for a perfectly broken-in vintage look and feel from day one, and i really loved how the fit moves straight down from the waist to the hip with minimal shaping - really flattering paired with the full, columnar silhouette of the leg.
