amelia began its life as a slightly tweaked version of a pant we already knew and loved...but when the fit came out a little different than we had expected, it quickly turned into a wildly flattering new fit we were all smitten by.

featuring a moderate high rise, an accommodating but fitted top block, and a straight leg with slight taper, amelia reflects the mission we’ve had from the very beginning: to create timeless styles that are flattering, comfortable, and versatile.

How To Measure

first thing's first, grab a pair of your favorite pants that have a similar rise. find a measuring tape and a flat surface to measure on. be sure to lay your pants flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove any slack. compare the measurements to the chart below.

waist

the circumference of the waistband, along the top edge.

hip

the width at the bottom of the J stitch, straight across. double the flat measurement.

Front rise

the length from the bottom of the crotch seam to the top edge of the front waistband.

thigh

starting 1” below the crotch seam, the width of the leg perpendicular to the outer seam. double the flat measurement.

leg opening

the width of the opening at the bottom of the leg. double the flat measurement.

inseam

following the inside-leg seam, the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

before a new jean is released, a member of our team takes the time to wear them day in and day out, in order to see exactly how the pant evolves over time.

if there was one word i could use to describe the fit it would be approachable. wear testing a jean means wearing them day in and day out, and towards the end it can be a challenge to put outfits together that still feel new, exciting, and fresh-- but i found myself reaching for her every morning, excited to put her back on.

my i+w size is 25, and these fit true to size. on the first few days of my wear test she felt snug in the waist, but not too tight. with just a few wears, i felt it loosening up in all the right places, just enough to feel perfectly comfortable, but not too much that it bags out.

i wore these cuffed, by choice, but could have had a few inches hemmed off the length. they worked for me with a simple tee or button down with an easy sneaker, but this style also bodes well with a loafer.
