a killer light wash constructed with a 100% cotton selvage denim from Kuroki Mills. as we began working with this fabric, we quickly realized that the less we did, the better it looked -- a simple wash was all we needed to unlock its depth and character.

lewis is a high rise that sits above the hips with a relaxed thigh and a straight leg.

How To Measure

first thing's first, grab a pair of your favorite pants that have a similar rise. find a measuring tape and a flat surface to measure on. be sure to lay your pants flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove any slack. compare the measurements to the chart above.

waist

the circumference of the waistband, along the top edge.

hip

the width at the bottom of the J stitch, straight across. double the flat measurement.

Front rise

the length from the bottom of the crotch seam to the top edge of the front waistband.

thigh

starting 1” below the crotch seam, the width of the leg perpendicular to the outer seam. double the flat measurement.

leg opening

the width of the opening at the bottom of the leg. double the flat measurement.

inseam

following the inside-leg seam, the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

before a new jean is released, a member of our team takes the time to wear them day in and day out, in order to see exactly how the pant evolves over time.

i’ve been wearing wrangler 13mwz for a long time and it’s hard to find a jean to match that fit but the lewis windsor does an excellent job. the higher front/back rise and the extra room in the hip, thigh, and leg opening made for a nice silhouette without sacrificing any comfort. pair that up with the beautiful light wash selvedge fabric and you might have the perfect casual jean.

i wear anything from a 34-38 in i+w jeans depending on the leg shape. i went with a 36 in this jean to get a little extra room in the thigh so the waist band was slightly big from the start. i would say these run true to size throughout the leg with extra room in the waistband.

they were slightly snug in the thigh and across the seat at first but the fabric loosened up almost immediately. after one wear they began to grow, and the stretching continued throughout the first few wears and seemed to settle down after a while. if someone is wanting a tighter fit in these i would recommend going with the smallest size you can comfortably fit off the bat to keep from having to wash them every wear.

these are really comfortable and cool jeans. i mostly wear rigid styles from i+w and it takes a long time and a lot of repairs to get your jeans into the windsor wash territory, so it was fun to have something well worn right out the gate.
