when we set out to release a new denim fit, it's imperative to us that it conveys a feeling, and more than that, is something that sets itself apart from the rest of our offering.

featuring a true mid rise and an easy, open leg, edie is in many ways an unexpected combination for us. the top block is intentionally accommodating, sitting on your hips and effortlessly extending into a full, straight leg.

How To Measure

first thing's first, grab a pair of your favorite pants that have a similar rise. find a measuring tape and a flat surface to measure on. be sure to lay your pants flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove any slack. compare the measurements to the chart below.

waist

the circumference of the waistband, along the top edge.

hip

the width at the bottom of the J stitch, straight across. double the flat measurement.

Front rise

the length from the bottom of the crotch seam to the top edge of the front waistband.

thigh

starting 1” below the crotch seam, the width of the leg perpendicular to the outer seam. double the flat measurement.

leg opening

the width of the opening at the bottom of the leg. double the flat measurement.

inseam

following the inside-leg seam, the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

the edie is exactly what i've been looking for from imogene + willie! i love a baggy jean and as a more petite person, i prefer something with a shorter rise - the edie has just that: volume in the leg, but a rise that doesn't overtake my shorter torso.

i am usually a size 24 in our denim but sometimes will opt for a 25 to achieve a more slouchy look. i got a 25, which i love, but if i did it all again i think a 24 would have been my perfect fit - these are a true to size jean.

i've been wearing these since spring 2025 and have enjoyed every minute! they are such an easy jean for me to throw on and feel so effortless to style -- everyday they get more and more comfortable. i'm so excited edie is a part of our line up!
