we constructed trudie with a 100% cotton selvage denim, then added the crucial elements needed to bring the fit we had in mind to life: a button fly, indigo thread stitching details, and (most importantly) a darted waist that offers a roomy hip while still maintaining a flattering fit in the top block.

fit and sizing
fits true to size. trudie is a high-rise jean with a tapered leg. size 27 has a 16 3/8" leg opening and a 12 3/8" rise.
we advise starting in a comfortable fit, as you can expect both some give with wear and shrinkage when washed in cold water.
model is wearing a size 25.

HOW WE MEASURE
first thing's first, you’ll be measuring your body, not your other clothes. we’ve found it’s the easiest way to find what size is best for you. we recommend measuring in front of a mirror, directly against your skin, and keeping the measuring tape taut.
natural waist
the smallest part of your body’s waistline, not necessarily where your jeans will fall.
hip
the fullest part of your body below your waistband and above the knee.
note: our size grade has been updated in 30-34 to make those sizes more accommodating. these changes are reflected in the chart below.
