a military staple that was born at the tail-end of the 1800's, the chino was an icon that has traversed a wide array of eras. after WWII, these pants remained a favorite of the GI's returning to everyday life and continued as a popular garment for most of the century.
for this pant, we took a beautiful 100% cotton Japanese oxford weave, then gently washed it down to unlock the depth and character of the fabric, and also replicate a perfectly lived in hand-feel of a vintage piece from years gone by.

although it began as a no-frills utilitarian piece, our modern, updated chino can be dressed up or down in whatever manner you see fit.
THE HISTORY
for decades, Alpha Industries, produced US-made military-issue garments. until their production moved overseas in the 1990s.
we believe the past doesn't belong in a vault, so together with Alpha Industries we created a collection of 13 limited edition military-inspired pieces.
each garment in this collection has been entirely produced in the USA.
read lesspatterned, cut, and sewn in the USA from a 100% cotton, 10.9oz Japanese oxford weave.

first off, grab a pair of your favorite jeans, a measuring tape, and find a flat surface to measure on. lay your jeans out flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove all slack. note: double each measurement (except inseam and rise) to correspond with the chart below.
waist
the width of the waistband, from left edge to right edge.
front rise
the length from the bottom of the crotch seam to the top edge of the front of waistband, above the button.
thigh
starting 1” below the crotch seam, the width of the leg.
leg opening
the circumference of the opening at the bottom hem.
inseam
following the inside-leg seam, the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of hem.
