combining the vintage military details of our beloved CPO shirt with elements of traditional western workwear, this jacket utilizes one of our all-time favorite fabrics: a killer 100% cotton Japanese jaspe -- the result when two yarns of cotton are dyed separate colors and then woven together, creating a fabric that is full of both depth and dimension.
after slightly washing the jaspe fabric down adding some lived-in character, we then square quilted this piece with a wind-resistant streakfree lining. the end result is a substantial piece ready for whatever you can throw at it.combining the vintage military details of our beloved CPO shirt with elements of traditional western workwear, this jacket utilizes one of our all-time favorite fabrics: a killer 100% cotton Japanese jaspe -- the result when two yarns of cotton are dyed separate colors and then woven together, creating a fabric that is full of both depth and dimension.

( a brief history )
Crescent Down Works
in 1974, after years of working in Eddie Bauer's first-ever down testing laboratory, Anne Michelson decided to found Crescent Down Works, where she began producing vests and parkas to order in her own small shop located in Seattle's University District.
today, nearly 50 years later, the small team at Crescent Down Works continues to make every single piece in-house, from pattern to finished garment, under one roof in their Seattle factory now run by Anne's daughter, Annie.
every jacket and vest they make is a classic Northwest outerwear design, insulated with ethically sourced high-grade down, and paired with traditional fabrics that offer the perfect combination of durability and performance.
